Getting Into College With Minimal Pain

Subject: Test Prep

I approach college admissions from a holistic perspective - by teaching you how to get into a college that's a great fit for you while still having a life in high school. You learn to:

Plan your classes
Attack standardized tests
Select fun extracurricular activities you enjoy
Learn to write thoughtful, engaging essays
Creating an actual, implementable application plan

What if you already know what classes to take or like your extracurriculars? I can help you with the part(s) of your high school experience you think needs more work.

You'll learn how to communicate with colleges so you maximize your chances of a big envelope from the school that your best fit on April 1st during your senior spring.

As a social media analyst, Thu-An currently discovers prolific authors and loci of conversations about clients' brands, products, services, marketing initiatives, and more. With this information, she gives clients her analysis of online chatter.

Thu-An has extensive experience in online content creation and consumption. From managing online reputations and interfacing with clients about their search marketing campaigns, she can spot spam from web text and permalinks only. Adoption of the newest/most shiny Web 2.0 applications have taught her random useful things like the past tense of "digg" is "dugg" and chances are Thu-An either has or is seeking beta invites.

Thu-An graduated from Swarthmore College with Honors and a BA in Sociology/Anthropology. She also minored in Environmental Studies.

Thu-An's currently taking spinning and yoga classes and has taken violin lessons in the past. She also has no compunction about taking pictures of food and posting them to her tumblr (anbui.tumblr.com) before everyone eats. In addition to being a lifelong learner, Thu-An's held the teacher role in four states and two countries. She tutored students in English, writing, math, and standardized test taking skills and taught briefly as a lacrosse instructor, so she has a few opinions about teaching, learning, and education. The next thing that Thu-An wants to learn is how to fix a flat!

She also loves talking to strangers.
