Triathlon Training Program for Women

It seems like we just had the celebration party for the 2007 Triathlon Team…and here we are, gearing up for 2008! The Danskin Triathlon is an amazing event that many women use as their first entry into doing an organized activity and many women come back and do it again and again. If you are a cancer survivor doing the Danskin Triathlon for the first time, you have the honor of having your entry fee waived and guaranteed admission into the race if you register through Team Survivor Northwest, all you have to do is contact the TSNW. For those of you who are returning triathletes and made it through the frenzy of registering for the Danskin Triathlon, congratulations!

And for those of you who were not able to make the registration cut-off, I know you are disappointed, but I have some heartening news from the world of triathlons: Subaru is now sponsoring a women’s only sprint distance triathlon (same as Danskin) in the Seattle area which will be on Sunday, September 7th. While many of you will be training with TSNW for the Danskin, we will also have our sights set on doing the Subaru and our training is open to ALL TSNW triathletes, not only those training for the Danskin.

Our comprehensive triathlon training will get you ready to swim, bike and run your way to the finish of a triathlon! We’re pleased to announce that Kim Brasfield, our great triathlon coach from last year, will be joining us again as our triathlon coach.

Group training will begin in early May.
