Description
Some think a ready smile, a firm handshake, and a fresh cell phone battery are all it takes to succeed in public relations. Truth is, the PR business involves a lot of writing. So, in this class taught by former University of Washington communications professor, Al Sampson, you'll learn how to think and write according to the standards of the profession. You'll write some standard public relations fare: press kit pieces, newsletter articles, and more, and you'll discover how they fit within the voice and strategy of a unified public relations campaign. You'll also develop a press kit you can use as a writing sample for job hunting.
