Description
Saturday 1-5 p.m.
Create free writes and journal entries and learn to mine them for poems, stories, personal essays and memoir by using a three-step response method and applying elements of craft, including finding your writing's internal occasion, using images and metaphor to develop a distinctive voice, writing dialog and relying on organizational forms and play to move your pieces forward. Leave with a notebook of writing you'll want to continue working on, including pieces almost ready to send out! Whether you have been writing awhile and need a jump start, are finding your way into particular material or are new and need the key to writing pieces that please you, this class will help.
