A Season To Sew! by Barbara Mar
Posted by Briar Rose on September 08, 2009
The leaves are beginning to change color, and a few drift lazily to the ground. One senses a change of season is just around the corner. Soon the air will be crisp, with hints of morning fog, and it brings thoughts of cozy sweaters, a warm mug of coffee, and a good book to curl up with by the fire. And when the rains come, as they always do, outdoor activities cease and we focus on what we can do with our time indoors. For those of us who love to create beautiful things, it's time to SEW!
What can be better than sitting at the sewing machine, listening to the rain pelt on the window and hearing the hum of the machine? It's time to create lovely table-runners of autumn leaves; warm corduroy skirts; custom denim jackets; tapestry handbags . . .and cozy quilts. It's a time to renew friendships, and to spend time with other women while we sew and chat.
September is National Sewing Month and the perfect time to come and SEW! Join us in the RuBarb Studio at Briar Rose Sewing School if you love to sew, or have always wanted to learn.
