  • "Daniel was knowledgable and patient, great teacher"

Review of Beginning Sewing - Pants, August 24, 2009

I went into this class thinking I was going to learn how to hem pants, since I always wanted to learn that. To my surprise, I signed up for a pants making class. Despite the confusion, I went through with it and was happy I did.

Daniel was a great teacher, and for a beginner like me -- this class perfect to relieve the initial stigma I had with sewing machines. We were able to learn how to create a piece from start to finish, and to be honest -- that was incredible. I made a sweet looking pair of pajama pants (vespa pattern, no less) to go along with my new vespa I got last weekend.

After some more practice, I'll definitely be taking the hemming class soon. Stitches is awesome, I definitely encourage anyone to visit and take a class. They open their equipment to anyone (if there aren't any classes). Really good environment and good people!

Review of Stitches, April 21, 2008

I've known the Stitches owner (Amy E.) for years, from our days at Amazon -- she's truly an inspiration, opening a store for people who are passionate about knitting, fabric and creating beautiful and fun things -- if you want to improve your sewing, check out Stitches!
