We will be creating a jacket using a sweatshirt for the lining or use fabric and very thin batting. This is your chance to Design your own with the help of Darlene Millers patterns, "Just For You". Darlenes patterns fit better because when the shape of your clothing matches the shape of your body, the effect is harmony - a pleasing arrangement of parts. There are four shapes; triangle, square, circle, oval. So you and I are going to discover your unique shape with Darlene's help. There is a series of questions that you will answer before class, that will ensure that we are fitting you with the proper pattern for you. These questions are in Darlene's book, "Your Shape, Your clothes and You~ Secrets of a Successful Wardrobe" I will have her book available for purchase and several of her other patterns.

This is my 9 yr old grandaughter that has been sewing with me since she was 5 yrs old. Now she sews by herself.

Review of Tish Chacon, January 31, 2009
I was nervous when I went to meet Tish for my first "One on One" sewing class. I am literally a beginner and I don't even know how to thread the sewing machine. But Tish just has the kind of personality that makes you feel completely comfortable and at ease right from the start. She is warm, patient and extremely knowledgeable. She quickly discovers what level of skill you possess and then begins there. What I noticed most about Tish is that she really loves to teach. She enjoys being there with you and doing what she doing and that just makes it so much fun!
