Ava Hansen Millinery offers a two day millinery workshop at her millinery studio. Space is limited to keep class size small so each student receives personal attention and instruction. Class size for Millinery 102: Structured Fabric Hat Design is limited to 10 students. At the end of the class, each student will know how design, create a hat pattern for a crown and brim, construct a Structured Fabric Hat, and will leave with 1 Structured Fabric Hat of their own design. Class covers: Anatomy of Hats, Headsize Measurements, Finishing Techniques, Trimming Options, Structured Fabric Hat design and construction, and a comprehensive resource list including millinery supply houses, glossary, and reference materials.

How to register: Classes are scheduled as time permits, so first email Ava to determine if there is a class schedule suitable for you at ava@avahansen.com and include your name and contact information, class would like to take, and headsize measurement. I will respond to your email with class times, a remittance address where you can send your class fee to. Upon receipt of your registration and class fees, I will send you a confirmation and receipt for the class.

    Ava is a wonderful, patient and knowledgeable teacher. I would recommend her in a heart beat. My time with her has been amazingly rewarding. And my hat is lovely, and her instruction and time has been priceless.
