Dyeing in buckets can be boring and sometimes confusing when you do it by yourself...in a workshop situation the labor is shared and is really enjoyable and productive. Using Procion ® fiber-reactive dyes, you can get a virtual rainbow of colors. Instruction will cover controlled dyeing to get evenly dyed fabric; value gradations; over-dyeing and various techniques that produce “patterned” fabric. The basic principles of color mixing, keeping accurate records, safe handling of the dyes and suggestions for setting up your own studio will also be included. No previous dye experience is necessary.
