Review of start sewing and/or recyCouture design, August 12, 2008
This class has been very energizing. Deborah is very supportive and has a subtle way of making you believe that you can succeed. I've appreciated how practical the class was and how generous she is with her time. Her teaching style reminds me of the words to a Leonard Cohen song: 'follow me, said the wise man, but he walked behind'. She will get you to do the work while hovering supportively in the background. I trust her to help me translate what's in my imagination into reality.

I love Deborah's enthusiasm for sewing, especially for re-fashion projects. I had zero, and I truly mean zero, experience with sewing and I felt welcome and learned a lot. My project was to create a pillow from an old pair of jeans. Deborah provided me with all the information about what I needed to do to make that happen and she gave me enough space to make the design decisions myself. I very much enjoyed the class.
