Joint lessons are designed to be positive reinforcement sessions! Learning to use your voice well is a strange experience internally. You will think what you hear is bad when it is beautiful on the outside. You will feel like it isn't "you." Having friends cheering you on because they can really hear is incredibly valuable. . . and fun!

We focus on allowing you to sing whatever style you are interested in with ease and flexibility. I specialize in bridging voices throughout your range, extending range, giving you tonal control, building breath control, getting rid of unnecessary tension and learning how to communicate a song. If desired, I can also help you learn to read music, pick audition/recital material, and coach repertoire. My forte is simple physical tricks that open up the ease and warmth of the voice.

I teach two at a time privately in Greenwood neighborhood or groups of 5-12 at your location. Designed for people who want to learn together and share the cost.

Review of Janet Rayor, November 01, 2009

I've just begun working with Janet, but already, she has me singing better. I have such a great time in my lessons, they feel like such a privilege. She really provides the tools to not just produce pretty sounds, but gets you to have something more behind the notes. This is especially helpful if, like me, you have little to no experience singing and acting vocally.

Review of Janet Rayor, October 31, 2009

I was drawn to Janet Rayor's dynamic personality and lively performances and knew instantly I had found the best possible voice teacher for me. I started pursuing my singing /perfiormance goals late in life and Janet has taken special care to understand my unique needs and objectives. In every class she makes sure I hear the progress we're making - making it easy and excting to come back week after week. Earl R.
