I spent just a few hours with Marlo this afternoon, and walked away thinking "wow"! Although I'm not a formal "student" of hers, I'd highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun, spunky, and incredibly savvy entrepreneur to learn from. She's started numerous successful businesses and understands what it takes to turn a great idea into a successful enterprise. She's particularly in tune with the needs of creative folks entering the business landscape.
Give her a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

I am more than pleased to have been working with Marlo for several months now. Marlo's firsthand business/art knowledge and communication skills, along with her compassion and forthrightness is a rare combination of skill and style that truly sets her apart as a mentor and coach. Not only has Marlo helped my business take huge professional leaps forward in such a short time, but she is also in the process of helping me refine my personal priorities and goals in relation to my business and artmaking. Anyone fortunate enough to benefit from Marlo’s mentoring is fortunate indeed.

Marlo is an amazing woman. She has made a life and living for herself doing what she loves (and is amazingly talented at!) In addition, she is willing to share her incredible depth of knowledge about being successful in a small arts based business with those of us who need some help. What an amazing combination.
"Great photography workshop!"

Review of Marlo M, April 10, 2009
I took Marlo's photography workshop recently and really enjoyed it. Marlo began by explaining a little of the technical stuff of photography -- just enough to give us a better understanding of what certain camera settings are actually doing. She then photographed several pieces of jewelry, showing us some of her own techniques using various set-ups, lighting, etc. The rest of the time was spent in a hands-on experience, as we used our own cameras to photograph our own jewelry in the various locations around her studio. Marlo worked with each of us to help us get our shots just right.
The workshop was limited to four people, which offered greater individual attention than you would get in a larger class. Marlo is easy going and encouraging and eager to share her knowledge with others. Her prices are also very reasonable.
Thanks, Marlo! I loved it and learned a lot!
