Designing and Making Lasts for Boots and Shoe Fabrication

* Learn how shoes get thier shape,
* How to design boots and shoes.

* The type of shoe form making that will be taught in this class is the physiological shoe last. Because of this, this class heavily emphasises life casting of the foot. You will learn unique techniques that place the foot into the proper position to attain a shoe last shape during casting for any type of shoe, from a hicking boot to a high heeled pump.

You will learn how to transfer your foot or others into a shoe form called a last.

You will learn the Parts of a last thier purpose, theory and design.

Shoe making techinques may be introduced as well, however, this class is on how to make the shoe form from life casting for your shoe making endevours.

The class is 50 sessions long . I teach it individually or as a group.

Group sessions meet twice a month for four hours each session.

Individual one on one sessions meet 4- 8 hours per session depending on mutual agreement.
