I am such an admirer of this class that I volunteer my time there each week. Grisha teaches you how to use positive reinforcement to bring out the behavior you want in your puppy and minimize the behavior you don't want. By using a clicker to signal the dog when they've done something right and a treat to encourage them to remember to do it again, owners and puppies learn to work together in positive ways. When I trained my dog fifteen years ago, I was taught to use a choke chain and a pinch collar to "correct" bad behavior. I much prefer Ahimsa's more effective non-violent approach to dog training.
