About AlmaLuna Spanish Language Services Founder Jessica Dover, CMI: A Spanish Language Specialist for over 7 years, Jessica earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music for Trumpet Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her love of Spanish developed during an extended home-stay with a family in Mexico after graduation, and upon returning to the United States, Jessica found that many of her skills as a musician – listening, practice, repetition – could be applied to the mastery of Spanish. Since then, her interpreting experience has ranged from corporate negotiations and financial transactions to medical appointments and green card interviews. She is a Certified Medical Interpreter and an expert in all three modes of interpreting (consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation). As a private and group Spanish teacher, Jessica’s method of focusing on real-life applications and examples of the Spanish language guides her students into not only meeting, but exceeding their goals.
