Angelica Palomo

From Hammond, Indiana, Angelica Palomo, or Angie, has been dancing for the majority of her life. Her desire to continue to dance and her passion for music and movement led her to Columbia College in Chicago, where she graduated from in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. While enrolled at Columbia’s dance program, she had the opportunity to train with many inspirational individuals such as Emily Stein, Margi Cole, Jan Erkert, Carrie Hanson, Angie Hauser, Ericka Wilson-Perkins, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and Sandra Kauffman (in a reconstruction of Doris Humphrey's Water Study). While attending Columbia, She fell in love with Pilates. She began her training with Power Pilates and has her mat, intermediate mat, and a comprehensive training certification, which involves all equipment. Her teaching methods involve a movement based, systematic, integrative style. Having her clients learn in a flowing style, with appropriate corrections at the appropriate time, will transform their bodies and rid them of compensatory weaknesses that contribute to chronic injuries.
