Who am I? Okay, so I am a certified Integral coach, a former high school principal, a strong workshop presenter and an author, cancer survivor, mother and grandmother.

I certified with New Ventures West, an ontological coaching school, and have a few advanced trainings under my belt. Highlights: S. Africa - doing some guest coaching with the Centre for Coaching (attached to the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town), working with a non-profit to break the cycle of poverty and creativity coaching with artists and writers.

In an earlier incarnation I was a teacher, then principal, teacher trainer and curriculum designer using Quantum Learning principles and NLP, experiential learning long before they were mainstream.

I ran my own consulting company for several years designing programs for teachers and principals, delivering workshops and finally coaching when I decided I needed to work with decision makers higher up in the organization to really make a difference within the culture. After being a high school principal and training my entire faculty, I understood the structure of change in organizations much better.

I have worked with non-profits and for profit organizations. For Anheiser Busch, I did some team building work based on my Ropes Course facilitation training. I am a strong believer in experiential education and bring this to many of my projects.

In 2000, I co-authored a book based loosely on the Enneagram and Group Dynamics called, “The Game of Truth: a Humorous Guide to Self Discovery. Publishing was a new world to navigate and I took on the project with 2 friends and learned a lot.

Throughout my career, I have sought out masters and studied with them regardless of geography. So I came to Michael Grinder for NLP and Rita Dunn for Learning Styles. Ivan Barzakov and Eric Jensen for Accelerated Learning, Tony Buzan for Memory. I also read intensely, tested hypothesis and incorporated what worked. I became fascinated by Flores’ work and incorporated it into my way of working with decision makers as well.

I have maintained a Tibetan Buddhist (Kagyu Lineage) practice since 1992. My teacher is the 17th Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje (and Lama Ole Nydahl). I also have had a Kundalini Yoga practice since 1993. Last year, having studied with Wendy Palmer, during a NVW advanced class in Courage; I began a Conscious Embodiment practice.

For several years I worked for Learning Forum, based on Buckminster Fuller’s work and taught in Moscow and Singapore, as well as universities across the country – Stanford, Wellesley, Amherst in their summer programs. This was an amazing opportunity through which I learned a lot about how people actually process information and how they apply it. That led to my fascination with Brain Based Education – something I teach now.

I’m an excellent workshop presenter and teach others how to be more effective in that role. I dare to say “excellent” using consistent, ongoing evaluations as the measure. My workshops have included topics as varied as Power Reading, Memory, Creativity and other pedagogic subjects.

I trained to teach the introductory course for NVW –Coaching to Excellence and have been deeply gratified upon offering it. The coaching demo calls up my strong abilities to stay in “real time” and use my somatic intelligence, intuition and methodology while maintaining “presence”.

My coaching has focused on Leadership , Team Development and Coach Training. small business and individuals from the Department of Defense to HoyleCohen Wealth Mangers and lots in between.

My entire career path has been very non-traditional and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It has allowed me to incorporate the teachings of an eclectic and gifted band of masters and infused me with inspiration, while setting the “rigor” bar very high. In addition, this path has afforded me experience in a vast array of settings and exposure to lots of different cultures. For a grad student in cultural anthropology, this is a boon. I speak several languages, have worked and lived abroad and bring a multicultural, pluralistic and inclusive perspective to my work.

I admire organizations that use compelling methodology, work from strong values and are rigorous in their approach to change. I am comfortable with the distinctions. I would appreciate an opportunity to explore becoming part of the team - to learn and to contribute.
