  I had never used a potter's wheel or even been inside a pottery studio when I began classes with Barbara. She has made the study of pottery very enjoyable as well as informative. We always have a lot of fun in class, but it is a serious class and a great educational experience. Barb is very patient as well and encouraging to all her students no matter what their skill level is. I highly recommend Barbara Dunshee Pottery.

  Barbara is an excellent teacher, and she creates a warm and fun learning atmosphere. Barbara strikes the perfect balance of challenging students, while giving them plenty of room to experiment on their own. She personalizes her teaching for each student, helping students develop and achieve goals. Her studio provides a great learning environment, and she has a great glaze collection! All in all, top-notch!!

  Barbara's pottery class is like a very good Tapas restaurant that is vibrant, full of surprises, and will bring you back again and again. Intrigued by her art work, I signed up for her class a year ago and have since become one of the many loyal students of hers. The students' level in her class varies, but she treats everyone of us with great attentiveness and respect. As a slow learner myself, she has been amazingly patient and never show any sign of irritation. Barbara is always dependable, helpful with suggestions, and overflow with artistic ideas.   Review of Pottery / Ceramics Classes, July 08, 2008

  I used to take ceramics a long time ago and wanted to get back into something more creative than sitting behind a desk all day -- this class was perfect...super fun! Lots of different skill levels so I didn't feel silly not remembering anything, but when I was getting more comfortable with the clay, Barbara was great about really encouraging students. She'll help you experiment with different techniques while still giving you the demos and advice you need to keep learning. Really recommend...
