Bev Standish

Bev Standish is an accomplished pianist, animator and teacher with 25+ years of experience working with children. She also produced her own full length live action/ animated movie called the Escape of Middle C.

I teach every aspect of film making with state of the art animation and video software. Students create special effects, 3D models (Pixar style), animate, green screen, composite, and edit. Upon completion, students receive a DVD of their work and have a grand opening where they can premiere their work in front of an audience. Classes cater to the strength and interests of the students. Some children will be interested in the 3D animation programs while others may be more interested in videography or the process of green screening. The emphasis is on the student's specific interests, self esteem, and sense of well being.

Classes are also available with my co-teacher Kathleen O'Reilly who comes from Rhythm and Hues, an Oscar winning character animation and visual effects studio. Kathleen worked as an educator on movies such as Chronicles of Narnia, Babe, Xmen, Night at the Museum, Happy Feet and most recently Coraline. In addition to all that experience she is a kind warm hearted person with a great sense of humor and a fantastic teacher.
