  Brad Fortier is an engaging instructor with a warm, inviting persona who knows how to bring out the best in his students. From each of the two classes I took with Brad, I walked away feeling more sure of myself and encouraged by Mr. Fortier's support. Perhaps what I appreciate most about Brad is that he does not coddle his students. Brad will let you know something is not working without being harsh or judgmental and will guide you toward a stronger choice through illuminating side-coaching. Throughout his classes, Brad maintains an casual, positive vibe, relaxing newcomers and allowing students to feel safe and welcome in the ever so daunting world of improv. Excellent for beginners and even seasoned pros, Brad is all around pleasure to learn from and anyone with even a passing interest in improv stands something to gain from taking a class with him.

  Brad is a fabulous teacher. He is able to give meaningful and constructive criticism to help us improve and keep us feeling good about what we're doing and how we're progressing. I find this very valuable. He is also succinct which I love. He gets to the point and then moves on leaving more time for performing. His sense of humor comes into play in all aspects of his teaching which makes the whole experience so uplifting and FUN FUN FUN. Love Brad!!

  Brad's passion for improv comes through strong in his classes and ignited a similar passion in me. His classes are so much fun, while at the same time, challenging and push you to become a better improvisor. He really takes the time to find out about and care about his students. The classes are personalized based on individual needs and I have benefited so much from this. Brad is an amazing teacher and a wonderful person.

  Brad's a perfect instructor for beginner Improv. He's patient and supportive, and doesn't hesitate to let you know when you've done well with a good-natured chuckle.

  Brad also knows his stuff. He wrote his Master's Thesis on Improvisational Theater (correct?), and has an instinctive understanding of humor. His instruction was very useful and informative, but it's almost as useful just being in scenes with him and watching him work. Being in his class built my confidence on stage and even in the real world.

  Review of Brad Fortier, November 12, 2009

  I've taken two classes from Brad and plan on a third. He is a generous, helpful and fun instructor who creates a feeling of safety teaching something that's pretty intimidating -- improv! Brad's style is perfect for the way I learn -- he asks the right questions, gives feedback and guides as needed. In general, his positive nature is what makes him such a good teacher, as well as being highly skilled in what he's teaching. I highly recommend taking a class from Brad!
