Brook Burdette began violin studies at age eight with Dacia Hansen and North Clackamas Super-strings. She joined Metropolitan Youth Symphony in 1998 and progressed through the different orchestra groups. Brook was concertmaster for Concert Orchestra for the 2004-05 season and played with the chamber group MYSfits for one year and Symphony Orchestra for two years. She has performed in Austria and Italy, as well as in many state-wide public schools, with Metropolitan Youth Symphony. Brook has also performed with the Chehalem Symphony Orchestra of George Fox University and the Marylhurst University Orchestra. She has studied with William Hunt since 2003, and with Robin Baldino since 2007. Brook was awarded the Eleanor S. Peyton Scholarship by the Metropolitan Youth Symphony for 20007. She has been teaching violin lessons for five years and playing for her church worship team for four years. In the fall of 2007, she traveled to India on a mission trip to India with her church worship team playing for youth rallies in the slums of New Delhi. Brook has an Associate of Arts Transfer Degree in Music from Clackamas Community, and is currently attending Warner Pacific College, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance.
