With over 10 years teaching experience (at places sucg as The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Cornish College of the Arts, and Hugo House), Caren Gussoff is afreelance and fiction writer and editor in Seattle, WA.
She's the author of Homecoming (Serpent's Tail, 2000), a novel, and The Wave and Other Stories (Serpent's Tail, 2002), a novella and collection of short stories. Her work has appeared in numerous anthologies, including the Gotham Writers’ Workshop Guide to Writing Fiction (Bloomsbury, 2003), and Fu@king Daphne, (Seal Press, 2008).
A member of SFWA, Codex Writers, and the crit group, Horrific Miscue, Caren graduated from Clarion West in 2008 as an Octavia E. Butler Scholar and is an inaugural attendee of Artist Trust’s EDGE program for writers.
She is currently a co-editor of Brain Harvest: an Almanac of Bad-Ass Speculative Fiction (www.brainharvestmag.com).
