I was born on an island off the coast of BC called the Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii). My parents were adventure hippies who thankfully had the sense to name me something other then Moonbeam Riverbank. They have both given me a fantastic love of travel and music.

I am married with a very active family. Baseball, flag football, golf, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, swimming, dance, piano & travel and last I heard my husband is interested in taking flight lessons. My personal list of things I would like to learn, do & see is a mile long. At the top would be kayaking, photography and another trip to Italy and Sweden. I have a fantastic organic garden and am trying to learn this whole blogging thing (blog that I have done for a family friend is listed above).

We have been fortunate enough to enjoy both personal as well as family travel, visiting places in the US as well as abroad. And our travel list by no means is complete.

I found myself with a major addiction to genealogy this summer and as well acquired a Kelty pack to tote my son around on hikes with. If I am watching TV it is usually something historical or travel related but I won't lie, I watch So You Think You Can Dance religiously (childhood dreams unfulfilled yet maybe?).
