Chinese Dance and Choir Littl's Profile

The International School’s LITTLE DOVE OF PEACE ART TROUPE is a Chinese dance company and choir for English speaking children. The children learn the ancient Chinese culture and language while building their confidence through performances at school and throughout the community.

LITTLE DOVE OF PEACE ART TROUPE was established in 1998 and continues to be run by YaFei Liu, the founding teacher for The International School Chinese Track and the former director of a large dance studio in China. The troupe consists of over fifty boys and girls, mainly International School students.

The Troupe rehearses throughout the school year and performs 15 to 20 times per year. The troupe performs regularly in Portland’s Classical Chinese Garden, and has performed at OHSU, Portland City Hall, US Fish and Wildlife Service Office, the Street Car Opening Celebration, Portland area libraries, universities, for the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China. The Troupe is also a regular feature in the Rose Festival.

The Troupe’s performances have been covered by Portland’s television news, The Oregonian, the Asian Reporter, and Portland Chinese Times.
