Review of Private dog behavior consultations, August 13, 2008

Christine came to my home on a Saturday afternoon with a bundle of positive energy. She attended to my frisky, 95lbs lab mix with the mastery of a professional dog trainer and true dog lover. My big, goofy dog, Boone, loved her and she was able to put me at ease and help me gain some confidence in my ability to train my own dog (Especially the courage to "time him out" for bad behavior). She gave me lots of reading material and encouraged me to contact other resources. She gave me a relaxation tape, a clicker and a feeding pouch (which Boone worships!). His behavior has already started to improve.

I did expect a second person and a few more ammenities for the price, but she offered me email and phone contact on an ongoing basis which is terrific and the opportunity to borrow some of her training tools.

I appreciate her and highly recommend her! Thanks, Christine

    Mollie

  • "Great class - good content and remedies!"

Review of Fesity Fido: treating your dog's leash aggression, April 25, 2008

Christine presented an excellent overview of the signs of leash-to-leash aggression and went through the exercises and steps to alleviate and/or prevent incidents. Would have liked to see a demo dog as I am a visual leaner. I would recommend this class to all dog owners.

Christine Hibbard is very well versed in dog behavior and training. She has an impressive list of credentials and I have been very impressed seeing her in action. She has helped me with my service dog and is someone who really cares about animals. She is active in rescue and shelter work as well as having a successful practice as an animal behaviorist and trainer.

You do have to spend time working with your dog. This is not handing over responsibility for your dog's behavior to someone else. She shows you how to work with the issues your dog has and how to teach them gently and effectively. She is available via e mail and phone for questions and issues. Very responsive and responsible and super resources in handouts and equipment are included.

As an intern with Companion Animal Solutions, I've had the opportunity to see the lives of many dogs and their owners improve in leaps and bounds after working with Christine. Dogs with severe separation anxiety whose owners are finally able to go to work without worrying about returning home to find their house destroyed. Leash reactive dogs finally able to go for a walk without sending their owner's heart rate skyrocketing. I would highly recommend Christine and CAS to anyone dealing with behavior problems in their pets. I've been using techniques I've learned from Christine with my parents' dogs, and they've seen significant improvements, too.

Review of Puppy Head Start, April 22, 2008

Christine was the answer to all of our questions! She came to our house and showed us how to live with a very high energy,8 week old Wheaten pup, who loved to use his teeth! Now almost 2 years old, Auggie is such a well behaved, loving dog.. we were so lucky to have Christine teach us the ways!
