I grew up in Japan and Hawaii. After majoring in art in college, and needing to make a living, I eventually moved to California to work in high tech. For many years I created theater art in my spare time. Returning to fine art, I stumbled upon using hardware store material to create texture, and began to experiment with ways to use it. Finding a surprising amount of interest in working loosely and with texture, I decided to offer classes. I am represented by Gallery 2611 in Redwood City.
