Daniel Klein began teaching privately in 2006 upon returning from several years of living in Europe and has taught a thriving studio ever since. In the fall of 2008 he was the voice teacher in residence for Mahanaim University, instructing the male voice students who have a busy schedule performing at major venues throughout the world. While his private students include professionals and students alike, his students preparing for NYSSMA have performed exceptionally well in competition.

He has studied pedagogy with Judith Oas Natalucci, Carmella Jones, and David Jones.  Aside from his own extensive performance experience, his performance training has come from the likes of Sherrill Milnes, Jerome Hines, Carlo Bergonzi, and Martina Arroyo. He received his Masters in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California in 2002 and was voted by the voice faculty as the “Outstanding Graduate.”

Mr. Klein is much in demand as a soloist and balances his career between singing and teaching. He has appeared with the Lyric Opera of San Diego, El Paso Opera, Taconic Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Opera Pacific, the Bolshoi Opera and the Aspen Opera Theater. Additionally he has appeared in major concert halls across the globe including Avery Fisher Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl and the New Israeli Opera House.
