Since 1921, Amara has worked to ensure that children in our community find safety, stability, love and nurturing throughout their childhood. Based in Seattle, Washington, we provide adoption, foster care and pregnancy counseling services. In partnership with
birth, foster and adoptive parents­, we work to find, prepare, grow and support permanent families for vulnerable children. We are proud to offer our services to everyone, regardless of marital status, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, home ownership, income or education.

Danielle brings to Amara a strong background in PR, outreach and marketing. Prior to Amara, she successfully designed and managed outreach strategies at a symphony orchestra and an educational institute in the Netherlands. Over the years, Danielle volunteered for many non-profit organizations in the arts, including with On the Boards, a contemporary performing arts center in Seattle. Danielle holds an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a Master's of Art in Theatre, Film, and Television Studies from the University of Utrecht. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Danielle appreciates living in Seattle. Danielle enjoys cooking, reading, going to theater and dance performances, and—most importantly—spending time with her three children and husband.
