Dava Bead and Trade's Profile

Dava Bead & Trade was founded in 1991 by Anita Bermont. With a background in early childhood education and occupational therapy, what became very clear was the value of creative expression as a means of establishing a sense of well being. With a passion for beadwork as the medium of her choice, and with the inspiration and support of her family, the vision for Dava Bead & Trade came to life.

Today, Dava Bead & Trade is an experience to behold. Two retail shops in Portland, Oregon and now this website, support the original vision. We offer a strong focus on workshops, customer service and assistance, a workspace in each shop in which to plan your projects and a well rounded selection of quality materials to choose from. With this website, we extend our expertise to the broader beading community.

We are a community of approximately 20 people that count, sort, tie, vial, bag, bead, advise, act as creativity coaches and above all...we enjoy each others’ company, brought together by a common passion! After years of prodding by customers and friends, we are ready to meet the challenge of offering you an on line shopping experience. Our website catalog represents a collection of some of our favorite things, ranging from high quality tools to custom designed findings and components.
