I am working on my PhD in physics at Princeton University, where I earned a Master of Arts in Physics in 2007. I use representational art when I illustrate journal manuscripts and my dissertation.
I grew up in San Jose, CA in an Asian immigrant community, and I'd like to speak to the Asian immigrant parent community. I understand that it's important for your children to succeed in technical fields like engineering, so I want to tell you that your children can use art and drawing to do their best in college preparatory physics and math.
I can't give you magic. Physics and math are a lot of work, but with a little bit of art instead of rote memorization, technical courses can be fun and rewarding.
Wherever you live, I urge you to make sure your child has access to a good teacher or tutor who understands the distinction between memorization and problem-solving. If you live in Central Jersey, I can help you or your child learn to use art in physics and learn to create art in general.
I want to help you learn

* Graphical projection
I can help you get your illustrations on the web

* MATLAB
* Choose content and storage-space appropriate graphics compression formats
* Video-record a whiteboard lecture on your computer
My teaching philosophy is to provide you an intuitive and analytical foundation so you can figure out art or computer presentation skills on your own.
