Born and raised in Missouri, I began my musicianship at the age of four, playing by ear with my father. I began taking piano lessons at age five, and at the age of fourteen I began to write music as a way of self-expression. This creativity has led me to publish CD projects, with my latest recording being produced by Grammy Award Winner, Will Ackerman.

Over the years, I have continued to share the gift of music through teaching piano and practicing music therapy, specializing in working with children and teenagers. In 1998, while completing my Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy (a Psychology and Music degree) at Maryville University, I began the first music therapy program for the Missouri Department of Mental Health. This program continues to serve individuals with special needs to this day. In May 2002, I relocated to California from Missouri to continue my career in songwriting, music performance, music therapy, and teaching. I have practiced music therapy and taught piano and music throughout the Los Angeles area to a very diverse clientele on a private basis and for the State of California. There is much gratification in that many parents who have commented to me that their children who once struggled in general subjects began to soar academically after taking piano lessons for just a few months.
