Dog Training For You's Profile

Training for you, the dog owner, designed to help you learn how to communicate effectively with your dog. This training process is structured so that the first things you’ll learn are what you might consider the ABC’s of dog training: heel, sit, stay, down, and from there go on to other issues - boundaries and "don’t touch", for example. As you progress through the lessons you’ll be learning how to let your dog know what you want. Then you can get to those really important matters such as showing him/her that the food on the coffee table is off limits, and likewise those newly planted bulbs.

Training for you provides the following:

* Private classes so that you’ll get individual, undivided trainer attention
* Proper equipment to enable you to work effectively with your dog
* Written material to further explain and help you recall class instruction
* Optional use of a training video to help you visualize class instruction
* Trainer accessibility outside of class if you have a question or concern
* The option for additional classes if you should want them

Taught by Vana Ingram, M.Ed., a professionally-trained, certified dog trainer, emphasizes the use of positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency to help you show your dog what you want from him/her and help you both learn to live in harmony together.
