Novelist/coach Doug Kurtz received his MA in creative writing from the University of Colorado and his CTACC from Coach Training Alliance. His first novel, 'Mosquito', was published in 2007; his second, 'Hunter's Island', is in progress and due to be completed in 2010.

Doug brings passion, insight and a deep sense of responsibility to his work helping writers and other motivated people define and follow a life path that reflects their innermost values. Underlying his work is the conviction that we all possess the creative power to realize our dreams; nothing stands in our way but the obstacles we put there, and those can be overcome. If we're the authors of our own life stories, we can write them however we choose.

Doug's acclaimed writing and coaching workshops are taught in Denver at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, and in Boulder, and will soon be offered online. His coaching practice is also located in Boulder, where he lives with his partner Cat, his son Max and his dog Mackay.
