Dr George Sliter

George received a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois and enjoyed a 42-year career performing and managing research in the aerospace and nuclear power industries. He taught engineering classes in graduate school, and English as a Second Language at a hi-tech company. Currently, he tutors algebra and calculus at Canada College and mathematics with the national Club Z and TeamUp tutoring organizations. He also tutors English as a Second Language at the Redwood City Public Library. But his most relevant and effective experience in tutoring comes from navigating his six children into adulthood. Whenever appropriate, George likes to involve educational games in his tutoring practice.
