I teach drawing and painting classes to children and families (parent & child classes) in Issaquah and Renton. I have 3 children, ages 12, 10 and 2 years old. I have an extensive background in art. I have worked as a scenic artist, painting scenery for Village Theatre, Seattle Opera, Youth Theatre Northwest and 5th Avenue Theatre. I am a strong believer that anyone can draw if they have the interest, and if practice. I emphasize drawing from real objects in my classes, rather than doing "guided drawing." Beginning Drawing
Issaquah, WA
Students will learn basic line drawing and shading techniques while drawing from real objects and photographs. We will be working with pencil, charcoal, and ink. No experience necessary. All art materials provided.

Ages 8 - 14 In this class, we will work on 2-3 in-depth projects focusing on shading, contrast, detail and composition. Students will be working from still-life objects and from gridded photos. All art materials provided.
