After leaving the U.S. Army in 2003 Dave began studying under many of the nation's great naturalists and trackers completing intensive study programs at the Wilderness Awareness School, Past Skills Wilderness School, and the Tracker Wilderness Survival School. Dave's education path has focused on indigenous models of education, wildlife tracking, primitive wilderness survival and general naturalist studies. Dave currently teaches naturalist studies, wildlife tracking, and wilderness survival in the Seattle area and is co-author of Bird Feathers -A Guide to North American Species scheduled for publication in 2010.
