Seven years ago I left a cozy non-profit job to work the line at the Meeting House restaurant in San Francisco and have never regretted the decision. After a year at the Meeting House I spent time soaking up the culinary wonders of Vietnam before returning home. When business school for my wife brought us to North Carolina I worked with Chef Shane Ingram at Four Square restaurant in Durham for two years. Chef Ingram had been mentored by the likes of Charlie Trotter and Emeril Lagasse and I was deeply affected by his approach to food. When we returned to the Bay Area I joined McCall Associates to learn the ins and outs of catering from one of the best companies in the business. Recently I have been juggling starting my own business and being a full time stay at home Dad.
