Park Place String Studio started in 2007. The owner, Elisa Boynton has a strong background teaching students of all ages. She was born in Finland and is a graduate of internationally known Sibelius Academy. She has taught in music schools and privately in California, at  Marylhurst University's Suzuki string program, Lewis & Clark College's music department and  Alliance Charter Academy in Oregon and is currently teaching at her Park Place Music Academy that has locations  in Oregon City and West Linn and at Lake Oswego Music Academy. In addition to violin she teaches viola,cello, guitar and kantele, the Finnish table harp. She uses both Suzuki and classical methods and is teaching fiddling as well. She embraces the idea of establishing a learning environment where each student focuses on finding his/her highest potential without unnecessary comparison to peers.
