Review of Ellen Clark, December 02, 2008
Ellen Clark spent a wonderful morning in my second grade classroom in November. She brought some pictures having to do with the first Thanksgiving (a topic we were just beginning), and then showed the kids how to make their own picture journal. After labeling the pages, she showed them how to draw Pilgrims, The Mayflower, Native Americans and other Thanksgiving symbols. The kids loved it! One comment: "This was the BEST day in my WHOLE life!"
Thanks again, Ellen!

Teacher's Response:
Thank you for your comments. In this classroom the teacher had many beautiful books to share about the early settlers and the room was buzzing with questions. It seems that art is the soul of a good lesson. When children are doing what they love to do, learning comes natural.
