Music is the greatest of the art forms. That's right, I said it. Music is the greatest of the art forms, and there is one simple reason why: everyone associates themselves with music. It may be singing in the shower. It may be listening to a classic rock radio station. It may be watching movies. It may be playing a musical instrument. But no matter what it is, we all love music, and it is in the very fabric of who we are as people.
The question then becomes: "why should I study music?" There are a litany of benefits to studying music, but for the sake of time, space, and confusion, I will spare you all but the single most important. You should study music because it will absolutely enrich your life in so many ways.
Listening to music is such an important factor in everyone's life, especially musicians. Being well versed in a variety of musical genres and styles is extremely important, and I strongly advocate listening to music as much as possible.
Whether you would like to learn an instrument, learn to sing, learn to read music, or even just learn how to understand music better, it is a step you should take without hesitation.
