Of my many experiences as performer, music director, composer/arranger... drummer/percussionist, my teaching life provides a forum to share and explore the wonderment of music, and it's many facets, and stimulate the creative urge in my students. The urge to create crystallizes life and living. It's automatic for us, and music is one of the most important artifacts of our creation- to our very existence. For the non-beginner, I believe I successfully strike a balance, tailored to each student's individual goals, between the work inherent in the process, and developing real enjoyment in the pursuit of improvement; the belief that learning the piano/practicing HAS to be a drag is a huge barrier that extended study with me "blasts" through, among many others.
