Of my many experiences as performer, music director, composer/arranger... drummer/percussionist, my teaching life provides a forum to share and explore the wonderment of music, and it's many facets, and stimulate the creative urge in my students. The urge to create crystallizes life and living. It's automatic for us, and music is one of the most important artifacts of our creation- to our very existence. For the non-beginner, I believe I successfully strike a balance, tailored to each student's individual goals, between the work inherent in the process, and developing real enjoyment in the pursuit of improvement; the belief that learning the piano/practicing HAS to be a drag is a huge barrier that extended study with me "blasts" through, among many others. For the beginning student, child through adult, my appreciation for the 'brand new-ness' of this endeavor allows my enthusiasm to, consistently, empower students, as they discover their own beauty and esteem-building creative power... as one note becomes a piece of music. Whether you're desire is to become a better player of Classical repertoire; to begin to actualize that Jazz, or other style player you always thought about being; or to create your own music, and "sing your OWN song"....if you want to develop your musicianship: learning more about chords and how to use them; become a better "reader"; or bounce your ideas/concepts off another, well-experienced professional....you needn't search any further! As my prices and reviews reflect, study with me, for the student serious about learning, represents a true committment to quality that can be a wonderful midwife to your musical goals. I greatly anticipate hearing from you! Many blessings...
