The Funkmode performance company (code name: VPG) is the entertainment arm of the business. Though we perform in all of the traditional ways you expect to see a company perform, our main function is something totally unique. But before we get to that, here's a little bit about what led us to come up with our concept.

The Bay area is full of talented Hip Hop, dance and performance companies. Most of them spend months preparing pieces for live performances that, if they're lucky, they'll perform a few times a year for a few thousand people. While this is the way it's been done for years, this approach has a few notable limitations. First of all, it leaves out anyone who couldn't make the shows or doesn't live in the area. Secondly, if you had a particularly good performance, no one but that audience will ever see it again. Third, even a short performance takes a long time to put together (if it's good), but once you step off the stage, it's gone until you do it again (If you do it again). Finally, you're limited by the natural confines of your stage. For most companies, these issues present no problem at all ... but Funkmode wanted more.
