Education

• Playing guitar since the age of 10. Private instruction for 5 years. Since then learned by any means necessary listening and performing with top notch artists for the last 30 years.

Experience

• Opened for or performed with such legends as John Lee Hooker, Guitar Shorty, Lenny Williams, Lowell Fulson, Jimmy McCracklin and others.

• World-class guitarist and singer GG Amos is an artist in the West Coast Blues tradition, having been raised in the California capitol of Sacramento. Now based in San Francisco, she has been honing her craft as a songwriter, utilizing the r&b, jazz, funk and latin elements that make west coast blues what it is. She is a riveting performer with a distinctive, expressive style, emphasizing soulful communication with her audience.

• Her main guitar influences include Carlos Santana, Johnny Guitar Watson, Magic Sam and Kenny Burrell. As a vocalist, her influences are many, but she says she learned more about expression, timing and phrasing from the great Louis Armstrong than any other singer.

• GG has just returning from a successful month long tour of Poland, playing to packed houses in theaters and clubs all over the country. More tours are in the works.
• She recently released a simmering single titled "West Coast" co-written with longtime musical partner Taki Komori. It is a tribute to Johnny Heartsman and the west coast blues. It is available on CD Baby, iTunes and several other online retailers.

• In 1997, GG released her debut CD “Gotts Ta Go” also available on CD Baby 
and iTunes.

• Aside from her tour in Europe, GG has had extensive experience performing at festivals, fairs, special events, benefits, nightclubs, wineries in California as well as nationally.
