I have been performing and teaching music for 27 years. Currently, I play banjo in a whatevergrass trio called Spunk. I also play electric and upright bass in The Starlings.
I love all kinds of music, especially music that is inclusive and accessible to folks of all skill levels, like bluegrass, folk, blues and americana.
Teaching "by ear" with recorded lessons has been very successfull. I encourage students to listen to and develop their own voice as a powerful tool for connecting with an instrument.
