Jessica Vit Anderson

I have a B.A. in vocal performance from the University of Portland. I love kids and have experience working with them in before/after school programs, as a nanny, and at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center here in Seattle. I am excited to share my love for music with children through my group and private lessons in my home.
I have sung locally with Twelfth Night Productions (a theater group here in West Seattle) as the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors for the past two seasons. I participated in the Richard Critten Opera Workshop in Boston 2007. This past summer I sang with Emerald City Opera's Opera Artist Institute in Colorado and Seattle Academy of Baroque Opera's Accademia d'Amore workshop.
From January through March this year I toured with Portland Opera To Go, an opera outreach program, throughout Oregon schools singing the role of Clorinda in Rossini's La Cenerentola (Cinderella). During the tour I also got to go into classrooms and teach kids about opera.
Opera is my passion, but I love all music. My philosophy is that everyone can sing and should have fun doing it!
