Jumpstart Learning Camp

Abigail Landies is the founder and director of Jumpstart Learning Camp. She is a student in Dominican University of California's teaching program. Abbie grew up in Marin and attended school at Good Shepherd Lutheran School and North Bay Christian Academy, as well as participating in many city-run sports programs such as softball, soccer, and gymnastics. With a strong desire to give back to the community through investing in children, Abbie developed a summer school program which emphasized learning through hands-on activities. She is dedicated to improving the field of education by introducing this radically new method of integrating a theme into all the academic subjects to reinforce the academic material. Abbie is committed to teaching in a way that meets every student's needs. Because each student is unique and has their own way of learning, we use various methods (such as incorporating many different academic subjects) to teach each week's material.
