Registered with Yoga Alliance and honored to teach, my teacher certification is through yoga master Amrit Desai and the Amrit Institute. Also certified through Yoga Ed. to teach kid yoga, I've brought yoga skills and concepts to area schools and hundreds of children. You'll find my teaching style to be gentle and precise instruction honors each individuals capabilities in every moment. While physically strengthening, toning, and opening the body through postures, the Amrit style emphasizes the connection between breath and sensation which promotes an inner quietude allowing the experience of "meditation in motion." Many "off the mat" benefits follow a consistent practice as yoga can change your life! My work with children is to "play yoga" so their experience is fun and has a lasting impact to inform health and wellness choices later in life. As well as teaching children, my work with Yoga Ed. allows me to train schoolteachers to bring yoga into their own classrooms. Studies have shown that yoga in schools can foster learning readiness and provide an effective classroom environment.
