Availability

10 AM to 9 PM M-Sun by appointment only at your place if you wish.

I am available evenings and weekends if you work during the day as I remember what it is like to have a day job while trying to get a business off the ground. I am willing to travel throughout the Western Washington as that is what good customer service is all about.

Rates

$120 an hour if hourly and for Point of Sale or Enterprise.

$295 for three consecutive hours and $90 an hour thereafter on the same day for QuickBooks financial (Pro, Premier, Online, or Mac).

I also have an unlimited set up, review, and training for one person in one company or personal data file for one year plus mileage for $1,195.

Mileage is charged outside of King and Snohomish Counties. Ferry tolls, highway tolls, and parking are extra. I add 5% to your bill for payments by credit card or PayPal to cover credit card processing fees. Sorry, those miles aren't free.

As a Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor & former "COO", I provide at your home office or workplace customized, in-person, & one-on-one training, tutoring, classes, instruction, seminars, help, and private lessons at your pace and skill level based on what you know (or don't) at your office, my place, or a quiet coffee or tea shop in Greater Seattle or elsewhere by arrangement.

Why lose billable hours and fight traffic to attend a class and go at the slowest person's pace (yawn) when I will come to you? And do you really want to ask questions in front of strangers pertaining to your business or personal affairs when I can come to you?

Learn how to effectively use QuickBooks Simple Start, Pro, Premier including Contractor, Point of Sale, or Enterprise, or Quicken for (Windows or Mac) to properly set up and maintain your financial records so you can fish (or make Tofu if you are a vegan) for yourself, save on accountant's fees, stop worrying, and sleep better at night.

There is nothing more fun than watching someone's eyes light up as they gain the self-confidence by making their financial or accounting software work for them instead of the other way around and learn how to produce financial reports that tell them how their business or investment and retirement plans are really doing.

And so they don't make the mistakes several of my small business clients made by (1) creating their chart of accounts for a C corporation when they were a LLC which screwed up their tax accounting; (2) setting up their credit card as an expense account instead of as a credit card; (3) setting up their vendors as customers and vice versa; (4) recording all their payments individually instead of matching them up with the actual bank deposit; and (5) not updating their version of the program.

Do you need someone to set up or check your business or start up's chart of accounts, financial records, or books? Have you slowly come to the realization that you don't know how to use your accounting software and it is affecting your bottom line?

Has your company grown to the point where it would be nice to have someone come in on a regular basis to train, tutor, and instruct you and your staff in QuickBooks and help them convert from Peachtree®, or Microsoft Small Business Accounting or their new Office Accounting Express® to do your bookkeeping and financial reports and let you make more money by doing what you really enjoy doing?

Or would you rather sit in the dark?

Well, let me come to you and teach you what you need to know about QuickBooks or Quicken.

You’ve hired an attorney, accountant, insurance broker, business coach, SEO expert, marketing pro, and others to help you start and manage your business or a financial planner to help you plan for your future. Shouldn’t you hire someone to teach you how to effectively use the financial management, bookkeeping, and accounting software that you’ll be relying on to discover how well you are (or aren’t) doing?

As someone who has been a bookeeper and ran the day to day aspects of a medium sized business, I can help you learn to solve some of the following common accounting and bookkeeping software issues and problems. My company is a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business.

I am a member of, the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program, the Intuit (the folks who make TurboTax, Quicken, and QuickBooks (not Quick Books) to name a few products) Small Business, TurboTax, Quicken and Accountant's Inner Circle which advises the company on ways to improve their products (I recently found a bug in an older version of QuickBooks Pro and suggested a fix) and make them more consumer friendly (gasp!) and the Microsoft Professional Accountants' Network which helps users with Microsoft Office Accounting during 2007 to 2009.

I was the subject of an article "Spotlight on a QuickBooks Instructor: Teaching Small Businesses to Fish" on the TeachStreet Blog.
