Kimberly Lampers

I have grown up in the woods with not much to do but make believe. I love telling stories and am attempting to make a living as an illustrator of children's books. My mother is a knitwear designer and so I learned from a young age not only the skills of knitting, but the design process as well (which I was always the more interested in, thus my major). At the age of 14 I had a doll sweater published in the book, Sweaters From Camp, by School House Press. At 16 I had my first job as a freelance sweater designer for Skacel Yarns Co. Inc.. My design interests have taken a more 2d bend since then. I spend more time drawing and painting than knitting, but I still enjoy teaching knitting skills to others, particularly those with the desire to learn.
