Hi, I'm Arnetta Kenney, affectionately known as Knita by my friends and students.
I have been teaching machine knitting, hand knitting and crochet for 30+ years. I teach knit design to upper division fashion design,textile design, and styling students, at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. I also teach adult students, hand knitting and crochet, for the Center for Professional Studies at Fashion Institute of Technology.

I love love love teaching. My teaching started as a young child, when my friends and I played school all the time, and I wouldn't play unless I could be the teacher (my friends didn't mind).

Teaching leaves you with a wonderful feeling inside, I love to see how the students, eyes light up and their brilliant smiles, when they have accomplished their first few rows, or a completed project.

I also love to learn.
While teaching my childhood friends, I would spend days in the library,soaking up new words and subjects, that I could barely understand, but it intrigued me,and that curiosity would make me search deeper for answers. I wanted to share with others these new words and facts.
